Ibis Tarbes Odos

We arrived relatively late after a long day of travelling with our toddler.The lady behind the counter was so pleasant,friendly and professional that we felt right at home and that we could finally relax,our little one was looked after and a meal served, everythingwas jus smooth.I wish all hotels would have such employees. Thanks for a great stay.

Funny location, booked hastily on bookingdotcom and didn't realise it's in the boonies. Place had just finished being refurbished inside less than a month ago (still smell the paint). Hard to rate as some bits were very good and some terrible. Bad bits: food was AWFUL. Husband ordered a chilli con carne. A jam jar dish of 'nuked-in-the-microwave' stuff arrived (no rice). Dried up gloop with lots of kidney beans. The girl who'd checked us in (and reheated the food) was so sweet & helpful we didn't have the heart to complain... but €14 !! Really?! Scruffy balcony, with nothing on it, no furniture at all. World's smallest/most awkward toilet ever. Almost impossible to step past the open door as it touches the loo pan! Good bits: girl at reception was sweet. Bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was surprisingly good, fresh and tasty. Also got 10% off at The Red Pepper restaurant down the road just for flashing our room key. All in all, it was better than ok

Passing thru Tarbes on a cold, rainy night. Glad to find an Ibis. Clean and comfortable. Jean-Baptiste is a real gem! He suggested some special, local food which they were serving for a dinner choice and it was excellent. The lovely Bordeaux to wash it down with wasn't too shabby either. A very nice surprise from a budget hotel. Recommended!
